At 21, Kylie Jenner is the youngest self-made billionaire. People can’t get enough of her. They buy products from her makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics, watch her public appearances and follow her social media accounts. We seem to know everything about her. Still, there are a few surprising facts about Kylie Jenner.
1. She was a cheerleader in high school. Actually, she was in the same squad as her sister, Kendall until Kylie left to be home-schooled.
2. Strangely enough, she hates public speaking. When she was a student Kylie became so nervous during a high school presentation that said her favorite food was “soccer and basketball.”
3. Kylie has a large scar on her leg. In an interview she revealed that when she was 5, her sister and she were playing hide and seek and she hid inside a tall-enclosed gate. “After a while when my sister didn’t find me I had to climb up on this sharp pole sticking out from the gate. I slipped and the pole went into my leg. I tried pulling away to get the pole out but it just tore through my whole leg. It’s smaller now though because I grew” she said.
4. Kylie was just 9 years old when TV reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians started. She has been in the spotlight almost all her life and she says that she would love not to be famous.
“I don’t know what it’s like to live a normal life, where people don’t know who you are, to get out of a car and not have everyone stare at you. I feel like when you grow up on camera, people think they know you because you’re on social media so much and on reality TV” she said during an episode of her TV show, Life of Kylie.
5. According to Seventeen magazine, Kylie likes chocolate but hates chocolate cake.
6. She stalks her exes on social media, although she admits that she does not obsess over other celebrities unless they are romantically involved.
7. Kylie is not into binge-watching. In fact, she admitted in an older interview that she has never finished watching a TV series in her life. Although it seems that she loves The Handmaid’s Tale.
8. In 2015, she sought the rights to register the name “Kylie” for advertising, but Kylie Minogue filed a notice of opposition. The famous singer said that if Jenner succeeded that would cause “possible confusion and damage to her branding”.
9. Kendall and Kylie Jenner, along with ghostwriter Maya Sloan, wrote a young-adult fiction novel called Rebels: City of Indra. It was published in 2014 and it is a dystopian story about two girls with super-powers who embark on a journey together.
10. Kylie’s favorite emoji is the red matte heart.
11. She is currently number 7 on the list of most followed celebrities on Instagram. On her account, she posts photos of designer dresses and jewelry.
12. Her first dog, Norman, a tiny Italian greyhound, was a Christmas gift from her ex-boyfriend, Tyga. She has a custom-built dog mansion. The house is big, it has heating and air conditioning, as well as a mini porch. Kylie presented it herself on Snapchat.
13. Kylie’s middle name is Kristen (after Mama Kris) and her high school nickname was Kandy.
14. She has said that if she was not famous, she would be a makeup artist. It is known that she loves makeup. Since we are mentioning career choices, Kylie has also said that she would like to become an actress as well.
